Call for Papers: 19th Asia Pacific Conference on Giftedness (APFCG 2026)

The Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness (APCG) 2026, hosted in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from February 7 - 11, 2026, is a transformative gathering of global educators, researchers, and practitioners. This year, under the overarching theme “Fast Forward: Building a Better Future for Gifted Education 2050”, we aim to collaboratively envision the future of gifted education and identify actionable steps to ensure a brighter future for gifted learners.
The conference will be held at the University of Business and Technology (UBT) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. UBT is a premier private higher education institution known for its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and fostering global collaboration. Located in the dynamic city of Jeddah, attendees will also have the opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage and modern advancements of Saudi Arabia.
Call for Papers
We are delighted to invite researchers, educators, and practitioners to contribute to the upcoming conference by submitting papers that align with the main theme, “Fast Forward: Building a Better Future for Gifted Education 2050.”
The conference aims to address critical issues and explore innovative solutions that will shape the future of gifted education. We welcome high-quality, original research papers, case studies, and practical frameworks, work-in-progress papers that contribute to this important dialogue.
Submissions may include but are not limited to the following key topics:
- Increased Diversity in Gifted Education
- Research exploring strategies and methodologies to adapt to the growing diversity in the gifted population.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
- Submit your abstract of no more than 400 words.
- The primary language of the conference is English, and your abstract submissions should be in English.
- Your abstract will undergo a peer review by the international scientific committee. The organizing committee chair will be heading the scientific committee, and he will make the final decisions with regards to the abstracts.
- You will receive a response either accepting or rejecting your paper. You may also receive reviewer comments or be given an opportunity to revise your abstract. Should you be given the chance to revise your abstract, you will be required to do so within two (2) weeks of notification.
- It is normally assumed that the first author of an accepted abstract is the primary presenter. For all accepted presentations with two or more authors, the co-authors who want to present together with the first author will need to register before December 15, 2025.
- The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that the paper’s publication has been approved by all other co-authors and takes responsibility for the paper during submission and peer review. The organizer/publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

Full Paper Submission Guidelines
- Full papers should not be more than 25 pages (double spaced, Times New Roman, including all references and appendices).
- The primary language of the conference is English, and your full paper submissions should be in English.
- Full papers accepted for the conference will have the opportunity to be published by Springer, one of the world's leading publishers of academic and professional research. This prestigious collaboration ensures that the research presented at the conference reaches a global audience and contributes meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge in the field of gifted education.
- To be considered for publication, selected papers will undergo an additional rigorous peer-review process conducted by experts in the field. This step ensures that all published work meets Springer’s high standards for academic excellence, originality, and relevance. The review process will focus on the quality of the research, the robustness of the methodology, and the clarity of presentation.
- Authors whose papers are accepted for publication will receive comprehensive guidelines from Springer. These guidelines will include detailed instructions on manuscript preparation, such as formatting requirements, citation styles, and submission protocols. Authors will also receive support to address any feedback from reviewers and editors, ensuring their work meets the final publication criteria.
Submission Process
The online submission system will need you to provide the following details:
- Title (word limit is 20).
- Theme must be chosen that fits within the aforementioned topics of interest.
- Full name and affiliation of presenting author.
- Full name and affiliation of co-author(s).
- Abstract word limit is 400, excluding title, authors, and affiliations, 3-6 keywords and key references.
- You may upload your full paper after submitting your details and abstract under the MySubmissions tab.
Paper Presentation Instructions
- Oral presentation is 20 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions.
- Each session room will be equipped with a smartboard, computer, screen, and microphone.
- Please be ready to present before the session begins, introduce yourself to the session chair, and make sure that the chair knows how to pronounce your name.
Poster Presentation Instructions
- Poster presentation time is 5 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions.
- All posters must be presented in English. All posters will be presented in digital format. Specific dimensions and guidelines will be shared upon the selection of presenters.
- During the scheduled time, the presenter should be onsite for answering questions raised by the audiences.
Best Paper/Poster Awards
- The Organizing Committee offers two Best Paper Presentation Awards and two Best Poster Presentation Awards to recognize exceptional presentations at the Conference.
- The award winner will receive an award certificate in the closing ceremony.
